Evolutionary, Ecological and Conservation Genetics

I am interested in understanding the genetic basis to natural variation in complex traits and the evolutionary consequences of natural selection.  I am studying how males and females interact with each other in mutualistic and antagonistic ways to maximize their fitness and how these interactions influence natural selection at the underlying genes and higher order processes such as speciation.  I am also interested in understanding how variation in reproductive success impacts management programs for conserved species and how environmental stressors are modifying selective pressures in nature. Ultimately I hope to address how populations are responding to these changes and the potential for adaptation to occur.
