Write-up

Write a short paper, approximately half a page long, describing the patient's perception of the nature and importance of the barrier; your preceptor's strategy for helping the patient deal with the barrier and how the barrier may have affected his/her management of the patient's medical problems; and your analysis of the extent to which the patient's barrier is having or could have an effect on the outcome of treatment (e.g. ability to obtain needed medications, securing referral to specialist.)
