Guiding Principles

In an effort to balance and synthesize all the above principles, this policy governs time away from required core education activities (RCEA), as defined in the College of Medicine curriculum. It does not apply to students on leaves of absence. It does not apply to students in the MD-PhD program while on research blocks. It does not apply to periods of time during which you are not enrolled in an RCEA. It also does not alter vacation periods specified by the official University academic calendar.
