Written exams

There will be two written exams, one in December that covers didactic and reading topics up to and including the November didactics, and one in May that covers didactic and reading topics from December didactics to April didactics, inclusive. Topics addressed in the Public Health teaching days will be tested by other means.

Sometimes students are away on electives when an exam rolls around. For those students, I place the exam up on Blackboard. It will be available for approximately 2 days, starting after the Wednesday session of the didactic pair.

Unless you are on an away elective, you should come to didactics and take the exam in person as usual. Students in Guthrie at the time should come to didactics and take the exam in person as usual.

A score of less than 65 on the written exams combined results in a grade of Conditional and a second attempt at the combined exams. A score on the second attempt of 65 or above modifies the grade of Conditional to Conditional/Pass, provided the student has adequate performance on other components of the course. A score on the second attempt at the combined exams of under 65 results in a clerkship grade of Fail.
