A Letter from the Faculty
Welcome to the Binghamton University Korean Studies Webpage (BUK). The faculty of the BUK is anxious to support students in their academic pursuits as much as possible — Culture, History, Literature, Economics, Sociology and Linguistics. Six tenured and tenure-track professors of Korean studies teach at Binghamton University. These scholars are the most active group of Korean studies researchers. The Department of Asian and Asian-American Studies (AAAS) at BU offers a comprehensive curriculum in Korean language, including four years of instruction in modern Korean and extensive training in traditional and modern Korean Studies.
