Zoom Meetings

For the rest of the spring 2020 semester, all class meetings will be held via Zoom. This page concerns what you need to know and do in advance of meetings.

Here is the Zoom link — note that to gain access, a BU-registered Zoom account is required:

Equipment, connections, physical space

You will need:

If any you have any tech-or connection-related related issue (difficulty connecting, access to equipment), please contact me so we can discuss!

When Zooming in, find a quiet spot away from crowds, roads, etc., and with a good network, wifi, or wireless connection. A good headset helps block background noise. It helps us hear you, and you, us. I strongly urge you to get a headset.

Wherever you Zoom from, think about the space, how in effect you're inving the class in there to be with you. That's not just about appearance; it can involve background noise, the comings and goings of others, and so on. With a little attention, it can all be sorted out.

Set up a University-hosted Zoom account

It's best if I simply refer you to the dedicated web document; check that out.

Join meetings (attend class). View meeting schedule. View recorded past meetings

I've included the secure link (because BU registration required) on this document and elsewhere on this site. But you can also access everything "Zoom" about this course — schedule of upcoming meetings, links to recorded sessions — via myCourses > course page for this course > Zoom.
